Mid-Season Invitational 2022 to be Held in South Korea

RIOT Games have announced the location and the dates for the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational 2022. The tournament is scheduled for May 10th – 29th and will take place in South Korea, for the first time in the MSI series.

The event be held in Busan, the country’s second most populous city and the local home of esports. Earlier this city hosted some parts of Worlds 2014 and Worlds 2018. This time all stages of the event will be played at Bexco Exhibition Hall with live audience – it will be the first event since Worlds 2019 to allow viewers to attend all matches.

The line-up will feature eleven teams, each representing their own region. The only region absent at the event will be CIS, since LCK Spring Split was cancelled. As usual, the event will be split into three parts – the Group Stage, the Ruble Stage, and the Knockout Stage. The prize pool is set at $250,000, the winner will claim $75,000.
